When I look into the windows of your mind, I find hope and lust and love right there to find. There is a sense of endless hope and happiness to see. Is it me, do I see only what I want to see? Was it there before? If so, I’ll be looking for it more and more.

You know I’ve heard it said there’s beauty in distortion
By some people who withdraw to find their head
And they say there is humor in misfortune
No, I wonder if they’ll laugh when I am dead
Why am I fighting to live
If I’m just living to fight
Why am I trying to see
When there aint nothing in sight
Why am I trying to give
When noone gives me a try
Why am I dying to live
If I’m just living to die
You know some people say that values are subjective
But theyre just speaking words
That someone else has said
And so they live and fight and kill with no objective
Sometimes its hard to tell the living from the dead
You know I used to weave
My words into confusion
And so I hope you’ll understand me
When I’m through
You know I used to live my life as an illusion
But reality wil make my dream come true
So I’ll keep fighting to live
Till there’s no reason to fight
And I’ll keep trying to see
Until the end is in sight
You know I’m trying to give
So come on
Give me a try
You know I’m dying to live
Until I’m ready to die
For all the times I called your name.
For all those times, you ignored my shame.
For all the lies, you helped me live through.
For all the years that we’ve seen through.
For every win and every loss,
For every love, we’ve paid the cost.
There’s been some stability for me,
For that, I thank you.
Taking the day as a new road.
Like the new child, that roads untold.
Will it succeed or will it fail?
I know with faith it will prevail.
I bless the day we met my friend, cause
You are the one I think of most, when everything goes wrong.
You’re the one I call out to, loud and long!
So take the step right beside me.
You’ll never fall, I see the need.
I’ve got your back, and you’ve got mine.
My friend, our power is strong combined.
Thanks for being who you are.
Thanks for being my northern star.
Thanks for love, and light and hope.
Thanks for all, I hope you know, Its true I’m friends with you.

‘Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogroves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
“Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!”
He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome fow he sought–
So he rested by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
And whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker – snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms by beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!
He chortled in his joy.
‘Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogroves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
She calls it walking on snow; I call it walking on air. She says we’re coming to close, and I know that more must be there. A battle, a storm, a fight to survive, how will this man of love lust and lies stay alive?
A good question, I think, as I sip my cafe. Watching clouds swirling and spinning, in the darkness, what do they represent? Not the present but past, the futures template. How do I build on a foundation like this?
I take my days as they come. My battle is not lost but it’s won. If I need to I’ll do. Horoscopes, just don’t know, figuring they’ve further confused you. If it’s meant to happen, let it ride, I’m out here tonight. Forget the softness and flack, life’s soldier is back.

O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassioned stress
A thoroughfare of freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!
O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife.
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness
And every gain divine!
O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for halcyon skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the enameled plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till souls wax fair as earth and air
And music-hearted sea!
O beautiful for pilgrims feet,
Whose stem impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till paths be wrought through
wilds of thought
By pilgrim foot and knee!
O beautiful for glory-tale
Of liberating strife
When once and twice,
for man’s avail
Men lavished precious life!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till selfish gain no longer stain
The banner of the free!
O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till nobler men keep once again
Thy whiter jubilee!
Thinking back over life’s grewling days,
I use to feel so uninspired.
And yes its true, history is such a harsh unforgiving place,
My memories make me feel, so tired.
Before the day I found you, I faught with those deamons in my mind.
You’re the key to my success in life.
And you make me feel, so very real.
You make me feel, like America’s Idol.
When my soul was in the lost and found, you came along to claim it.
I never knew just what life held for me, but you had the gift to explain it.
now i am no super hero, no shaman with sacred powers from the divine.
its you that makes me feel, so very real.
You make me feel, like America’s Idol.
Sweet lady what you’ve done to me, makes me feel so good inside.
And now I truely want to be, greater than the greatest man ever in time.
You make me feel, so very real.
you make me feel like America’s idol.
By Coldplay: A Truely great song, and one that holds many a hidden meaning. Enjoy, as our gift of spring.
I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own
I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy’s eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing:
“Now the old king is dead! Long liv the king!”
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand
I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can’t explain
Once you go there was never, never an honest word
That was when I ruled the world
It was the wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in.
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn’t believe what I’d become
Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh who would ever want to be king?
I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can’t explain
I know Saint Peter won’t call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world
Looking at the open countryside, from my Catalac S-U-V.
Popped a cd in to the player, and it sounds so sweet to me.
The open road, and the bars of songs, taking me into the past.
It was long ago, i was on this road, and I’m returning fast.
Oh yes I know, there’s still a way to go!
I’m gone to move on, and like the words in the song:
Country roads, take me home.
Ain’t been there in so long, y’all I’m a coming home.
Country roads, take me home.
I’ll be on my way, yes I’m coming home to stay.
Living life in freedom is the way to go, or so the soldier said to me.
But that freedom is so lonesome that you have no friends, and you can’t be near family.
Time to do what’s right and go back home to fight, war on the streets it never ends.
My hope’s for the generation coming behind me, let us all be friends.
Oh yes I know, there’s still a way to go,
See them haters debate, they aught to congrogate.
Country roads, take me home.
Ain’t been there in so long, y’all I’m a coming home.
Country roads, take me home.
I’ll be on my way, yes I’m coming home to stay.
Traveling down life’s highway, is such a lonesome ride.
Time to speak my peace now, the victory is tonight.
Country roads, take me home.
Ain’t been there in so long, y’all I’m a coming home.
Country roads, take me home.
I’ll be on my way, yes I’m coming home to stay.
By Andrew Gold:
Thank you for being a friend
Traveled down the road and back again
your heart is true you’re a pal and a confidant
I’m not ashamed to say
I hope it always will stay this way
My hat is off, won’t you stand up and take a bow
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see, the biggest gift would be from me
and the card attached would say,
Thank you for being a friend
If it’s a car you lack
I’d surely buy you a cadillac
Whatever you need, anytime of the day or night
I’m not ashamed to say
I hope it always will stay this way
My hat is off, won’t you stand up and take a bow
And when we both get older
With walking canes and hair of gray
Have no fear, even though it’s hard to hear
I will stand real close and say,
Thank you for being a friend
And when we die and float away
Into the night, the Milky Way
You’ll hear me call, as we ascend
I’ll see you there, then once again
Thank you for being a friend
